CHARITABLE
DONATIONS PROGRAM
Royal LePage Landmart is happy to announce that we will
be continuing with our charitable donations program.
Started in January of 2005 by Landmart Realty Ltd., as of
January 2008 Royal LePage Landmart will carry on with the
program. Put simply, each agent will donate $10.00 per
completed sale to a charity which will be chosen by the
staff. This donation of $10.00 will be matched by
Royal LePage Landmart. for a total of $20.00 per completed
sale.
Each quarter the staff will choose a charity. $20.00 for
each completed sale in that quarter will be held at Royal
LePage Landmart and a cheque for the entire amount will be
given to the charity at the end of the quarter.
Quarters consist of 3 months periods. For this program
the quarters will be: January, February and March - first
quarter; April, May and June - second quarter; July, August
and September - third quarter; and October, November and
December - fourth quarter. The total amount of the
donation will vary according to the number of completed
sales within the quarter.
As of July 1, 2009 the amount of time to collect for each
charity was changed to each HALF of each year (January 1 to
June 30 is the first half and July 1 to December 31 is the
second half). We felt
that we would then be able to give the charities larger
amounts and the amounts would be more equal allowing for
slower times in late fall and winter.
For the purposes of clearing up any misconceptions, a
completed sale is defined as one in which Royal LePage
Landmart has received payment of commission. Sales
that are initiated in one quarter but not paid until another
quarter will be counted in the quarter in which payment is
received. Also, this does not apply to commissions
received for referred properties where a portion of the
commission is either paid to Royal LePage Landmart for
referring clients to another company, or Royal LePage
Landmart had to pay another company a portion of the
commission as they had referred the clients to us.
If the property was listed by Royal LePage Landmart and
sold by another company, the listing agent will donate
$10.00 and Royal LePage Landmart will donate $10.00.
If the property was listed by another company and sold by a
Royal LePage Landmart agent, the selling agent will donate
$10.00 and Royal LePage Landmart will donate $10.00.
If the property was both listed and sold through Royal
LePage Landmart, then the charity will receive $10.00 from
the listing agent, $10.00 from the selling agent and $20.00
from Royal LePage Landmart.
This program is open to REGISTERED CHARITIES only.
The charity must be able to issue official tax receipts for
the monies paid. At the end of the quarter the charity
will receive a cheque for the total amount of the donation
and a spreadsheet showing the amounts donated by each agent
and by Royal LePage Landmart Receipts must be made out
to Royal LePage Landmart and to each agent in the amounts
shown on the spreadsheet.
To become part of our program, charities must submit a
letter to Royal LePage Landmart explaining what their
charity is about and have a contact name and phone number.
The staff of Royal LePage Landmart will select a charity for
each quarter and that charity will be contacted. The
charity must allow Royal LePage Landmart to use the name of
their charity in our advertising.
